Love, Lies & Legacy- chapter 7
CHAPTER 7
I entered the walls of the Four Seasons struggling to get pass the crowd of paparazzi outside. It was like a mad house out there.
"My sister sure can cause a riot. No matter where she is," Jesse said while giving the man working at the front desk a friendly nod.
"Wait, Julez is here? You didn't tell me that Julez is joining us,” I said with a happy expression.
"I apologize for being arrogant but I wanted you to pay full attention to me during the whole journey here. Julez has known you longer so I wanted to make up for the time that I missed," he said as we entered the elevator.
"God I have never met people, fighting over time with me before," I said. Inside, he placed his hands around my waist and pulled me closer.
"We both have limited time with you sweetie. We just want to make the most of it," he said while titling his head to touch my lips. My fingers touched his face, his neck, longing for more. Then there was a loud 'bing' sound, which indicated we have arrived at our floor. But Jesse was not about to let me go. When the elevator doors open, his hands were still firmly around me and his lips were arrogantly on my neck. The big-bodied man outside the elevator raised his eyebrows at us.
"Now I believe when Julez said that you are secretly very naughty, Jesse. For god's sake you're dating Julez best friend. Aren't there other girls out there?" the man said.
"Good morning to you too, Johnny. Sorry for the little make out session you had to see just now. I couldn't control myself," he said sarcastically to him while holding my hand. I recognize Johnny; he was one of Julez's bodyguards. I saw him at school during the video shoot.
"I've been you're sister's bodyguard for a while now so don't worry, I have seen nastier things. I understand how you teenagers work. Julez is expecting both of you," he said while pointing to a door on his left.
"Thank you, Johnny," he nodded, as we entered the room. Beyond the cream colored door, was a fabulously decorated living room. Modern plum colored furniture, exquisite paintings on the wall, a cozy fireplace sat in the middle and sitting on the piano bench by the glass walls that overlooked
"Good morning, Julez," Jesse said enthusiastically. Julez looked up with a smile and hugged him. She then came to give me one too.
"You're here! I missed you Sienna! Wait a minute, are like okay now?" she asked, looking very concerned.
"I'm fine. Jesse made everything all right. Don't worry," I assured her.
"And Jesse saves the day again," he said while flashing a cheeky grin at his sister. Julez just stuck out her tongue in annoyance. For 2 siblings living far apart, they seem so close to each other.
"You two are incredible!" I said while sitting down. Jesse opened his sling bag and took out his laptop and a few sheets of paper. He handed the papers to Julez and turned on his laptop.
"Oh my god! You finished the song! When did you finish it?" she asked giddily.
"Last night, on the plane," he said while sitting next to me. I shot him a confused look.
"I did it when you were sleeping next to me. Do not worry you didn't do anything embarrassing. You actually look even more adorable when you're peacefully in slumber," he said while giving me a kiss on the cheek.
"Jesse, these words are so deep. How did you manage to come up with them? I know you're a fantastic producer but I didn't know you were secretly a talented songwriter. The words are so meaningful and loving. You should take a look at this Sienna," she said while handing me the papers. I read it and felt the love too.
"Let me feel you next to me,
Let me taste the breath you breathe,
Open up the space between us"
"Surprised? Well I think you should thank your best friend for those words," he said.
"What do you mean?" she asked.
"Honestly, I got the inspiration from Sienna when she was sleeping next to me. You looked so innocent and fragile," he said while brushing my cheeks." The fact that Julez's unfinished song is titled "the very last moment in time" it was perfect with the situation I was in," he said while looking at me. That was one of the most romantic things Jesse has done for me. I turned toward him and gave him a kiss.
"So are the chords and melodies still the same?" Julez asked, trying to ignore the kissing scene in front of her.
"Yes, everything is the same. I just added words to the lyrics that you already written, want to try it out?" he asked.
"Cool, lets get started," Julez said since with a sense of elation. Jesse pressed play on his computer and the sound of an electric guitar could be heard. Julez than sang the first words of the song.
"Time stops for no one,
It moves on unaware,
Its easy not to notice,
Its easy not to care,
Out of the confusion,
The static and the noise,
You got my attention,
You make me wanna,
Live, like it's the last moon rising,
Scream, just like no ones there,
Lose, all of my defenses,
Hold you, touch you, love you like it's,
The very last moment in time.”
"Do you like the song?" Jesse asked when we were both standing on the balcony of the penthouse. Julez was inside, talking to some French radio stations.
"Of course I do. It was so beautiful, so romantic, so sweet so…."
"So you, beautiful, sweet, romantic and pure. Just like you" he said, finishing my sentence. Hearing those words made me tingle all over. Standing there with the perfect view of
I put my hands around his waist for comfort, warmth and love. He took a step back to stand behind me and placed both his hands around my waist while resting his chin on my shoulder.
"I'm glad you invited me to
"My pleasure," he said while plating a soft kiss on my neck. We stood there, watching the sun set on the streets of
