Love, Lies & Legacy- chapter 1

Resurrection of the Legacy

CHAPTER 1

Super straight black hair, an ACDC slim tee, dark jeans, Louboutin heels and gold accessories. That was what Julez Everard was wearing as she walked into the cafeteria of Winchester High Private School. As the hottest teen rock star of today, she is use to people staring at her in awe.

Nobody would believe that Julez came to personally meet me, Sienna Carlson, the ordinary girl in the materialistic world of
Winchester. Everyone assumed she was there to meet up with the notorious Valerie Langdon or her also notorious hot brother, Miles.

Everyone was surprised when Julez sat down next to me. I could see Valerie's expression across the cafeteria, a dangerous expression of shock and envy. Valerie could not stand the fact that someone else has something more than her like being friends with a rock star. I for one was happy to have a great friend like Julez and it does not matter if she was a rockstar or not.

"Hey Sienna! God, it's been forever since I’ve seen you," Julez said while making a hand gesture to signal her 2 bodyguards to give her some privacy.

"Hi Julez. What a way to make an entrance," I said sarcastically.
"Sorry about that. I meant to call but it’s been a busy day. I'm actually here to discuss with you something important. Are you like free tomorrow?” she asked while adjusting her gold bangle.

"Yeah I am. Exams just finished yesterday. Where do you want to meet?"
"Well I don't want to meet up somewhere public cause I hate to see those annoying paparazzi. How about we meet here after school?" she asked as she stood up.

"That’s cool. By the way, what is so important?" I asked. She flipped her black hair and said," It's about the song that we made"

By 8th period, the whole school was talking about Julez Everard's visit and the fact that I made a song with her. I actually met Julez when she first signed up with my dad's record company. She was a sweet innocent looking girl with a lot of talent. 3 number 1 hits, a platinum album and 2 MTV Video Music Awards later, Julez is still a sweet girl but she shed all her innocence. Who knew that behind all the goodness lies a true rocker chic?

The next day, Julez messaged me to meet her at the music room of our school. Our school's music room has the most state of the art equipment. It has every instrument you can imagine. Brass instrument for the band, string instruments for the orchestra and all the necessary instruments for a rock band.
It even has a recording booth and top notch MAC mixers. You could record an album there if you wanted too.

I met Julez there at 3.15 that day. She looked stunning in a long striped hoodie, puffy mini skirt and Marc Jacob ballerina flats.

"Hey Julez, have you been here long?" I asked while sitting down.

"I just arrived 5 minutes ago. How are you by the way?"
"I'm fine. What’s up with you? Recording a second album?"
"Yeah! I just ended the tour last night by performing at TRL. Now your dad wants me to concentrate on my next album. He wants all the songs to be of high quality," she said while picking up an acoustic guitar.

"He just wants your next album to be better that than your first. I mean 'Blithe & Rebellious' went platinum.... three times..." I said while taking out my notebook.

"I guess you're right. Well the reason I’m here is to discuss with you about the song that we made together, 'Nobody Till You'. We didn't have a chance to finish it the last time so I want to get it done so I could release..." but I cut her off before she could continue.

"You mean you're going to release 'Nobody Till You' as your first single of you're second album?" I asked seriously.
"Yeah.... I just want to work on the chorus a little bit. Then I thought of playing with the sounds. I thought of adding some crazy beats to mix with the hard core chords that I was thinking of," she said while strumming a D chord.

“Crazy beats?”

“Yes, touring in Europe exposed me to a lot of different sounds. I heard a lot of club tunes and electronic beats. I had an idea to mix them with my rock beats like a fusion. A whole different sound for my new album,” she said with a joyous grin.

I loved her idea; I thought it was a genius. But still the thought of having my song released was something surreal. Nobody till you was just something Julez and I created out of the blue, just for fun. I did not expect her to take the song seriously. So for the next 2 hours, Julez and I worked hard to revamped 'Nobody Till You'.
